Define Slip and slip speed. Explain their significance.
Explain Types of three phase induction motors.
Draw Equivalent circuit of three phase induction motor and explain its components.
Explain Rotor resistance starter – Why is it suitable for slip ring motors?
Part B – Long Answer Questions (5 Marks Each)
Compare squirrel cage and slip ring induction motors in terms of construction, performance, starting methods, and applications.
Explain why starters are necessary for induction motors. Describe the working of DOL, Star-Delta, Autotransformer, and Rotor Resistance starters with neat diagrams.
